In August of 1960 Blanche and Bob Mortis owned and operated a Restaurant across from the high school called the East Y Drive Inn. The buses use to unload in front of the restaurant when they had ball games. Brenda remembers her Mama sold hamburgers 10 for $1.00. They also owned a grocery store next door called Mortis Market.
They lived on a 60 acre farm that is now The Knolls on Larue Road in Henderson.
