Richard Lee Henderson County, KY Book 8 Pages 247 - 248 FHC #027283 1 Charles Scott Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to all to whom these presents Shall come Greeting Know ye that by virtue and in consideration of a certificate granted by the County Court of Henderson June ___ one thousand Eight hundred and one agreeably to an act of assembly for Settling and improving the vacant lands of this commonwealth there is granted by the Said Commonwealth unto Richard Lee a certain tract or parcel of land containing Four hundred acres by Survey bearing date the Twelfth day of March one thousand Eight hundred and Five lying and being in the County of Henderson on the waters of Deer Creek and bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at a Hickory Running North Eighty five West Two hundred and Fifty three poles to a poplar & two Hickorys thence North five East two hundred and fifty three poles Crossing a branch to a Honey Locust & Crabtree thence South Eighty five East Two hundred and fifty three poles to a white oak and two hickorys Standing in a Military line thence South five degrees West Two hundred and fifty three poles to the Beginning With its appurtenances to have and to hold the Said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the Said Richard Lee and his heirs forever in Witness whereof the Said Charles Scott Esq Governor of the commonwealth of Kentucky hath Hereunto Set his hand and caused the seal of the Said commonwealth to be affixed at Frankfort on the Twenty third day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Ten and of the commonwealth the Nineteenth. Richard Lee Henderson County, KY Book 12 Pages 68 - 70 FHC #0272833 Isaac Shelby Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to all to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that by virtue and in Consideration of a certificate Number 3187 (The State price paid with a deduction of Int) Granted by the County Court of Henderson county ___ 1801 agreably to an act of Assembly for settling and improveing the Vacant lands of this Commonwealth there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Richard Lee assee Robert Robertson a Certain tract or parcel of land Containing Two hundred acres by survey bearing date the 20th day of March 1802 lying and being in the County of Henderson on the waters of Deer Creek and bounded as Followeth to wit Beginning at a black Oak Elm and dogwood standing in a line of said Lees 400 acre survey Headright runing north ____ East one hundred and Fifty poles to a Honey locust and Crabtree Corner of said Lees headright thence South thirty five East two hundred and Fifty three poles to a White Oak and 2 Hickories then South five West eighty poles to a Pressimon (?) tree dogwood and Elm thence south eighty five East one hundred poles to 2 white Oaks and dogwood thence North five East fifty poles to a black oak and White Oak Standing in a Military line thence North Sixty five West three hundred and eighty poles With said line to a black walnutt and Elm corner of said line thence South Twenty five West two hundred and seventy poles to a White Oak and Gum thence south eighty five one hundred poles to the Beginning With its appurtenances To have and To hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances To the said Richard Lee and his heirs Forever In witness whereof the said Isaac Shelby Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hath hereunto set his hand and Caused the seal of said Commonwealth to be Affixed at Frankfort on the Nineteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Thirteen and of the Commonwealth The Twenty First.
