Know all men by these presents that I Moses Jones of the State of Kentucky and County of Mercer for divers consideration and good causes hereunto __________ have made or deemed constituted and appointed and by these presents do make ordain constitute and appoint my trusty friend Richard Lee of the state of afore said and County of Hopkins my true (?) & lawfull attorney for me in my name and to my use to ask ________ Recover or receive of and from the Sheriff or Sheriffs of Henderson County all the money they or all of them have collected of Joseph Butler by virtue of two suits brought by John Tabboth in my name Giving and by there presents granting to my said atorney my sole and full power and Authority to take pursue and follow such legai courses for the recovery receiveing and obtaining the same as I my self might or could do were I personaly present as also one or more atorney or atorneys under him to substitute or appoint and again at his pleasure to revoke and further to do perform and execute for me and in my name all and singulary thing or things which are or may be necessary touching or Concerning the getting of the money as fully thouroughly and entirely as I the said Moses Jones in my own person ought or could do in and about the same Ratifying allowing and Confirming whatsoever my said atorney Shall Lawfully do or cause to be done on and about the executor of the above business by virture of these presents in Witness wherof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 9th day of April in the year of our lord one thousand Eight Hundred & six.
