EZELL, GRIFFIN posted by Richard E. Hausen on Tuesday, January 21, 1997

Researching ancestors of William Edward EZELL (also spelled EZEL, EYEL, etc.) We find a William in 1840 Hopkins Co., page 366 on census. Could this be the same William that married Sisan J. GRIFFIN, Oct 11, 1837?. Following children were born to William and an unknown wife before a second marriage in 1847 in Logan and Warren Co. There is no record of their births in either of those counties. They are: Howell, born c 1836; Sarah, b c 1839; John H., b c 1842-43; William, Jr, b c 1846. Sall born in ky. is there any sources in Hopkins Co that I can find to check for this family in that county, from William birth in 1816 until his marriage in Warren County in 1847? Could there possibly be a Will of an EZELL that might name William Edward as a beneficiary: Any local church records that might list any of the four children above. Since there is a William d listed there in 1840, which William could he be?? Have been looking over two years to tie him to his parents and other family members in early VA where he was born. Any suggestions from Hopkins Co?????? Many Thanks
