Am seeking to expand the lineage of Ben Franklin TODD b. @ 1840 in Hopkins Co.,KY m. 1857 Henderson d. 1912 bur. in Webster Co.,KY TODD cemetery. Wife: Francis O. PITMAN b. 1836 d. 1918 bur. Webster-TODD Cemetery. Would like parents of both. His father may be Thomas TODD and --CATES. Her father is Tilman PITMAN but none in Hend. Webster, Hopkins census. Where did these PITMANs come from? Thank you for any help - this is for a Gibson descendant.

Searching for descendants of Alexander or Malachia OVERBAY who came to Henderson and Trigg County in early 1800s from Mecklenberg, Va. Attempting to see if anyone has any information about their son and nephew Peter V.L. OVERBY who lived in Stokes Co. Va. His children settled in Smyth County, Va. Malachai also was there shortly in the1830s. Thanks.

Seeking any information on William HENDERSON bc.1775 Virginia and removed to Kentucky. My first record is of his death c.1835 in Yazoo co, Ms. Family record indicates that he was from Henderson, Ky. His wife's name was Rebecca and he had at least one daughter Elizabeth who married into my MARKHAM family. I am researching the ARNETT family. Martha Hannah ARNETT was reportedly born in Henderson Co. on 02 Aug 1842. Her parents were Jesse ARNETT and Mary DEAN. Their other known children are: Nancy J. Margaret, Christopher Columbus, Sarah C., and Sarah Eliza. They moved and lived in Sullivan Co., IN. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Does anyone around the Morganfield-Grove Center area remember a fellow that was called "Eek" HOOPER? Have heard stories about "Eek" but can't seem to find a given name. It seems that the time frame would be very early 1900. Also would like to contact anyone with information on Nancy (HENSHAW)STONE who married Isaac HOOPER in 1852. Isaac died in in 1859 and Nancy died in 1909. Can you help in these matters.

Searching for Ancestral Birthplace of Samuel ADAMS, father of Thomas ADAMS my 4th Greatgr. 1st Sheriff of Hopkins County 1806. Thomas ADAMS b1772. I have complete genealogy of Thomas' Mother (Anne ADAMS daughter of William and Mary ADAMS of Mercer County) Thomas' Wife Elizabeth Ann ASHBY1 and children, and line of son William ADAMS & AMP; Susanna F. SLATON m. 1836, Thomas Edmond ADAMS 7 amp; Elizabeth Ann ASHBY2 1864 ... Henry? ADAMS m. Nancy Anne CLAYTON 1882, and my grandfather Henry Clayton ADAMS. Samuel is believed to have been born near Caven Ireland 1742 and immigrated to Botertourt County, Va 1758. Married Anna ADAMS, daughter of William and Mary ADAMS, moved to the banks of the Salt River in Mercer County with the ASHBYs, and later settled near Hopkins supposedly at the Green River north of Onton, Ky. Samuel should be of the ADAMS of Monoghan or Cavan, and therefore descendant of the ADAMS Family, of the Gordon Clan of Scotland, whose people immigrated to Ireland near 1600.

Louis INGRAM married Mary ANDERSON in 1898 in Henderson Co. The 1900 census shows her as a daughter of Sarah BENNINGTON. I don't believe the Bennington name is correct; that it should be Pennington, Berrington, or something else. Can anyone verify this?
