Elizabeth DYER was born in 1807. She married 1) Tazewell BALL in Union Co., KY 1825; 2) Thomas CLAY in Henderson Co., KY 1843; and 3) Ovid KEACH in Henderson Co., KY 1846. CARTER, LYNCH, POWELL, WILLIAMS, WILSON posted by Jim and Debbie Powell on Thursday, September 18, 1997

On March 24, 1868, Henderson POWELL wrote and signed a note to the Webster Co. Clerk of the Court giving permission for his daughter Permelia to marry John WILSON.(John and Permelia are buried at Springdale Cemetery at Sebree, Webster Co.) Albert G. POWELL and Phillip Lyn witnessed the note. Then on October 30, 1868, Henderson witnessed a note written by Matilda CARTER giving permission for her daughter Martha WILLIAMS to marry Albert G. POWELL. This note was also witnessed by John WILSON. John and Albert were each others bondsmen. We have checked Webster, Hopkins, and Henderson Co. censuses for clues and have found none to tie Albert, Henderson and Permelia together. We have found census information to tie my great grandfather Lazarus (Las) POWELL to Albert G. The 1870 Webster Co. census lists Albert and Martha POWELL with one daughter. The 1880 lists Martha with her new husband William LYNCH. Three Powell step children are listed Malia(Plina), William H. and Las. Any help finding a connection for this POWELL line would be greatly appreciated.
