Looking for the parents of Adaline L. CLEMENTS (may have been Ada or Addie). She was the wife of a man with the surname of ASHBY and then later wife of Christopher Columbus CRABTREE of Hopkins County, KY. She was born 10 August 1850 and died 30 October 1893. Her only child was Claude Leonidas CRABTREE.

Looking for any descendants of Dr. Enoch R. ASHBY and his son Dr. John Robert ASHBY, of the ASHBY families who were in Clay Co, Hopkins, Union, Henderson, Webster and Mercer Co.s. in the 1790'-1850's. Dr. John R. supposedly marr. Sarah HENDERSON (where and when ?) He may have also marr. Amy HARDIN. He married Nancy HICKS in Illinois, after he moved there, about the time of the Civil War. He was a Union sympathizer, according to family lore and his father was Confederate. There was a 'falling out' over it. His father Enoch R. was married to Delilah KLINE but, she may not have been John R.'s mother. Any info on these men or their desc. will be gratefully accepted and will share gladly what I have on the children and desc. of them. Thanks, Sue Ashby in Tx.

Besides looking for info on Dollie ROBERTSON, born 1900 to parents; Joseph and Martha PENNINGTON. I am looking for Martha’s parents; George and Carrie Brown PENNINGTON. Also John CHAPMAN married to Myrtle. John was born 1859, died 1924. Myrtle born 1876 died 1908. Myrtle's father was A.J. HUNTER. They are buried at Anthouston in Hunter cemetery.

My grandfather Benjamin William HOSKINS and grandmother Lucy Clement BURSHEAR lived in Smithmills, KY. Had their children there (nine, I believe) and moved to Arkansas about 1908. I am interested in finding information on the OAKLEY, SANDEFUR, HANDCOCK and BENNETTS. All from Henderson , Hopkins, Mclean, McCreary County, KY. Lysander Gordon OAKLEY married Sarah Ann HANCOCK in 1776. They had two children known to me Jennie Bell OAKLEY and Clara White OAKLEY. Jennie married Albert SANDEFUR in 1899. His parents were Algernon W SANDEFUR b. 1838 d. 1893. He married Cornelia L WILSON. Algernon's father was William H. SANDEFUR, his wife: Pemelia WALKER. Wm's fathter was Tandy SANDEFUR and his wife was Martha ROBERTS. Tandy's father was Bennett Sr SANDEFUR. The SANDEFURs and the BENNETTs were united in marriage and the BENNETTs are the daughters of a Govenor BENNETT.??

I am trying to find out information about my GG-grandmother Sarah T. STURGEON. I believe that she was born ca.1843 possibly in Grant Co. (found there on 1850 census) I believe her parents were James and Abigail ALEXANDER. Sarah died 13 May 1873, and was buried somewhere in Spottsville Ky. (Henderson Co.) She was married to Cyrus STURGEON and they were living in Spottsville when the 1870 census was taken. They had two sons Sylvanus and Bartimus.

He was married to (1) Eliza Jane SPENCER b. June 1863 d. August 15,1903 (2) Amy LITTELL b. 1859. Henry and Eliza HALL were parents to Frances Sarah, Henry Edward, Richard, Alicia Jane, John William, America Evelyn, Elizabeth Jane, and Esther.

My grandparents, Benjamin William HOSKINS & Lucy Clement BURSHEARS were from Henderson Co. They were married at a Ben UTLEY's house. I do not know anything about Lucy's family nor anything about either of their parents, except that BW's Mother and Father names were Charles and Susan. What was Susan's maiden name? If anybody has ANY information on this family, I would appreciate it. BW & Lucy, along with their children moved to ARK. in 1908 and I know about them from then on. I would appreciate any help and information on the LOCKETT family of Henderson, Henderson County, Kentucky. I am a great granddaughter of William Marshall LOCKETT and Hebe Grigsby HANCOCK. William LOCKETT fought in the Civil War. There was rumors that Hebe HANCOCK is a descendant of Nancy HART (from the Revolutionary War), and bloodlines connected to John HANCOCK. There were approximately 6 children from William and Hebe. I am descendant from the youngest son, Royal LOCKETT. Any information would be useful for my own curiousity, my DAR supplement, and UDC application. Thanks again
