BANNION, HARDING, LEWIS, WALKER posted by Elaine B. Favre on Saturday, December 13, 1997

Elizabeth WALKER married Mottrom LEWIS, son of John LEWIS IV and Hannah HARDING of Northumberland Co. VA, who were in Henderson Co., KY, in 1802 when John died. Elizabeth and Mottrom may have married in Henderson Co., or she may have had family there, also. Mottrom LEWIS and Elizabeth WALKER claimed land on the Peruque River in St. Charles Co., MO, in 1805, adjacent to the claim of his brother Samuel Harding LEWIS. In 1804 their only child William Harding LEWIS was born, and in 1806 Mottrom was killed "by Indians or a bear". Elizabeth WALKER m. (2) Wm. B. O'BANNION to whom she bore two sons. The last traces of Elizabeth I have found are in St. Landry Parish, LA, where she is in O'BANNION's succession as his widow, and is made guardian of her three minor sons. She is listed in the 1820 Census of Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, LA. Does anyone have any information on Elizabeth's parents , dob, and pob? Will gladly share any info I have on family. Elaine B. Favre
